Acts of Kindness???

There is an idea of altruistic behavior. This means that an organism may do a kind deed or selfless act with the expectation of getting nothing in return. As optimistic as I believe I am I do not think it is possible to perform an act of kindness without expecting something. Can true altruism exist? Give your opinion.

Introducing or Re-introducing Predators

Once a predator is out of its natural habitat should we as humans make efforts to bring them back. On one hand it could offset the new ecosystem or it might bring an ecosystem to its original state. Above are images of the Wolf re-introduced to Yellowstone and the Scottish Wildcat whose numbers declined to the point where we as humans felt like we needed to intervene.
