Should people be able to us fertility drugs or doctors to get pregnant if they naturally do not have the ability to? In your response find and give an example to back up your point.
Haiden Clavette, Yeah I think that everyone has the right to be able to have there own children. I do think though that the Doctors should do a pretty severe background check on the couple that are trying to have a child.A good example on that subject is the octo mom who was barley able to support the children that she already had. Yet the Doctor at the fertility clinic impregnated her and now has more challenges that come with having eight infants.
I think that people should be able what ever they want to there body. Octo mom, for an example, wanted to be impregnated at a fertility clinic, because she thouht that she would get money for each baby each month. Wether or not she got the check she now has to deal with the choices that she made. So I think that yes you should be able to use fertility drugs, they just got to deal with the outcome of their actions. Zachary Thompsom
I personally would never use a fertility clinic, but then again having your own kids is something everyone wants in their lives. The risks that come with using a fertitity clinic, as with octo mom having eight kids, are you could end up having more than two at once! If you can handle that stress then go right ahead, its your choice. Camden Long
If people have the power to abuse fertility drugs they will take advantage of that freedom. I believe the ability to artificially fertalize is part of the American way and part of freedom to do what you want with your body, for a price of course. But something to take in to consideration is the over-population the world is faced with. If someone is unable to have children of their own but is compassionate enough to take in one of their own it makes sense that both problems would be solved. Less over-population and the childless mother having her own baby without drugs or surgery. It all depends on the individual.
I don't think people should, because if people can't have children, there is probably a good reason. It probablly wasn't meant to be, possible problems or such, but then again it depends on the reason why they couldn't. I mean with age, if fertility drugs will help, then they could help but if they just don't have the abilty to bare children they shouldn't.
I think if people want to have a baby but is unable to due to something in their body, I think it would be fine as long as they face their challenges ahead by doing so.
I think that it is okay to use a fertility clinic. It is all the parents decision, many people would prefer to have a kid of their own then to adopt. I can see how some people say that they should not be able to. It is because of natural selection but humans have adapted and that is what seperates us from other animals, the ability to make our own decisions. Joshua Luce
In my opinion I think that "assisted reproductive technology" is a great invention, and idea- but when you carry out the idea it doesn't seem so hot. I can understand that there are some 6 million American women that can't reproduce natrually and that an opportunity such as this would initially seem appealing; but what they don't realise is that bringing another being into this world is a big thing, and that there are many many risks that come along with artificial insemination that could have a negative effect on the future child's life. Yes, having kids is great- but is it worth it to have your own kid with genetic issues, or would it be better to adopt and deal with not pooing out a kid? I'm sure you find ovarian cysts, hyperstimulation, and pelvic inflammatory disease all sound lovely, but not only is this a hinderance on the mother's body but you could birth more kids than aiming for, squeeze out some without the correct limbs, etc; or find yourself a serrogate mother, or some starving baby without parents. Ontop of this, there is also the religious aspect which ads an interesting twist. Catholics are pretty much the only religion that is completely against fertility drugs; most other religions are for it, and have had active members using these proceedures for years such as Nadya Suleman a.k.a. "octomom"; but her reasonings were a little whacked.. All those kids merely for stardom? Hmm silly people. Anyway- I wouldn't promote it, cause of many different negative impacts on the mother, child, and orphaned children. Go adopt! ^.^
Yes i think it is okay to use fertility drugs but i think it should researched to be a little bit more controlled because having more than four baby's at a time is dangerous because for all the pressure and possible hernias you can get. instead of having eight baby's i think it should be a little bit more controlled then just taking a pill to make you ovulate.
I think fertility drugs are okay to use, but under particular circumstances. The octuplet mom charade is absolutely a nightmare, and to prevent future incidents from occuring, I believe it should be under a controlled process. It should be similiar to adoption, where a person is not just evaluated financially, but physically, and once permitted the drugs, should be watched for excessive use or abnormal effects.
I think it is okay to use fertility drugs if you can't have babies without them. If you are using them for the wrong reasons then it isn't okay. If you are using them for the money then that's wrong. So if you really want a child but have some kind of problem with your body then i think it's okay.
I think it should be used responsibley not for the use of abtaning fame or fortune but for the use of bing able to have a child and the joy of a child you should be able to use this and it should be an option for everyone and not taken away becuase a few people abuse it
i think they should have the right if and only if they can unable to do it. its wrong to use the drugs to get fame and some people who use abuse it by getting fame by having eight or nine kids at once. Brandon Davis
jeremiah H i believe that people have the right to have kids. But taking it to the extreme by having 6 kids a pop is not understandable. The people who do so, are blindly overpopulating the world
I think people should be able to use fertility clinics so they Can have a child with their genes. Adotiptions good but there Will never be that maternal connection of from the whom to birth. Kaddee mueller
i think that women who cant have kids should use fertility drugs its their body and their decision, and ya their could be some risks like octo mom for example she had eight and thats to many. Victoria Barajas
In my personal opinion I think that a woman that is unable to get pregnant naturally should have the option to go to a fertility clinic and use fertility drugs to get pregnant - because that's what I would have wanted to do if I was in the same position.
There is of course a risk that you will end up with more babies than you planned on by using fertility drugs - like Nadya Suleman, aka "Octomom" who gave birth to 8 babies. If you have the right conditions to take care of one or more babies, i.e. you have a good financial and you're physically in a good health, you should be able to use fertility drugs.
i think people should be able to have kids this way aslong as they are qualified. If they look and seem like they are ready for a child, like being able to support an extra mouth then yes. Not everyone is fit to have a child. Mothers sell their kids for like drugs and stuff just to support their habbit. So as long as they are good people ,then let them have kids. -BERNIE VASQUEZ
in part i have a sister who can't get pregnat shes tried prolly every furtility drug known to man kind. im not against someone trying to give life and experiance something that only women can do and not being able to do that i would imagine would be pretty disheartening. On the other hand people who are abusing the drugs trying to get famous by having numerouse children cough(octomom) just sickens me giving life is supposed to be a blessing and people like that should be ban from children! so i am not against furtility drugs or anything as long as they don't abuse the power of life!
I don't think its a good idea, because if you can't have a kid then you probably don't want to pass that gene on. So I think it is kind of natural selection taking place on that one. Lanie Quinowski
i think people should be able to do it,but only if they can support the kid.if they just have the kid and then neglect it and whatever then H no! blogging is the way of the future. A Thomas
I think that if a woman really wants a baby, and because of some kind of medical reason, she cant, then she should be able to have the choice to use a doctor to get pregnant. But if there is a mother only trying to get pregnant to have twins, or triplets, then its wrong.

I do not believe that a woman who can not become pregnant naturally should have kids. It goes against the laws of nature. If a woman cannot become pregnant, it is a way for her body to tell her that she should not become pregnant. There can be many complications with fertility drugs and i do not agree with the usasage of them

In my opinion you should at least have some kind of an idea as to what you are doing before you use this. And it should not be abused, there should be restrictions or limits to these things. Like for example you should have a job and you should have appropriate health conditions to be able to have kids injected into your system. Again this is just my oppinion but this shouldn't be a free for all thing and i completly agree with River when a mom has 8 kids and no job it is rediculous Jake Whisler
To me, this is a fine way to have children, if you can't produce your own. I don't think anyone who wants to have kids who cant have kids, should not be able to, if there's an alternative. A child is a priceless object it's understandable, even if nature has decided it not be, that a human would resort to such a thing. The only problem with fertility drugs is cases like, "Octo-Mom," where the proper precautions weren't taken.
I think some people should just not have kids. Maybe they are infertile for a reason. A ton of kids are up for adoption, so adopt one of them. My grandparents' friends have two adopted kids because they couldn't reproduce, and the two kids both turned out terrible.
