I think that this video makes a very good point, If everyone could share their feelings and see eye to eye about more we would have less problems, while it would never be perfect I think that if more people listened and tried to understand, and feel what the contradicting view points were we could reach more agreement worldwide. while I think that the world as a whole is slowly getting better with the technology for people to share feelings world wide, (such as blogs) we would have more ideas better plans on how to stop many of our problems.
I thought the video had a very interesting concept, that empathy could be a world wide event. I realy like that he said humans are all born with the copaciety to be empathetic to others. Which makes we wonder why some people have have a lot of empathy, while others don't seem to have any.
This video made a very good point on what other people wouldn't think about empathy. I think the main point of this video was to show how all humans can come together as one. In life, most people want the same thing, so if people can settle their lame differances the world wouldn't be so screwed up. But then again there's always going to be those powerful individual people to ruin it for everyone.
The video reminds me of the song, Imagine by John Lennon, they both talk about humans being together rather than separated. My favorite part had to be when he said that countries are fiction, I completely agree with it and had thought about it before and happy I'm not the only one who thinks that way. The video explained a few things about sympathy I never thought about which was nice. However, excluding the people who literally can't feel sympathy I think we could evolve into that kind of society especially with the Internet. We can communicate so easily with others that becoming one shouldn't be that hard. Except of course that not all countries are completely free and would be open to it in the beginning. I am opposed to war but the way we live now a war/battle/revolution would have to happen before a change could happen in one place or the world.
I think that this video definitely has some good points. I mean sure you can say that we only care about ourselves, and only do things to better ourselves and those who we know and care about. But when it comes down to it I think that humans do feel a certain amount of sympathy for other humans. The video touched on it with the crisis in Haiti, but if you really think about it and put yourself in this type of situation a think that everyone would be empathetic. imagine you were on vacation and you saw someone of another nationality in trouble or having a heart attack or something; I'm pretty sure that most people would offer so help. so in my opinion i really do think that we are a highly empathetic species.
This video definitely made me think. First of all, humans have to capacity to empathize with not only other humans, but other animals, um how cool is that!? But the main point I took from watching this is that we need to remember we have that ability and use it. If everyone did that, not just cared about another person but really felt for them, the possibilities of what we could accomplish are endless.
I think this video has a very good point because empathy is seen everywhere in the world. If empathy wasnt here then it would be utopia because we could focus more on life and less on death.
This video gives a good idea of how empathy works through humans and how we relate to each other and other things by our senses. I think that if we have the ability to see what's going on and the ability to act upon it we should. If we focused on channeling our emotions and helping others who knows what the world will come to. Also, I liked how the man drew out what he was saying because it painted a good picture.
I think empathy is seen everywhere because it is the way of life and the only way to stop having it is if we never died. I do believe that we could have came from one species.
I feel that this video showed us that humans can share the same feelings along with other species, and we can come together and make our planet that we live on better. We all take our feelings for granted and don't use them as much as we should.
i think that this video is pretty smart. i think that the idea that empathy cannot exist in heaven is true and that the scientific elements of the video is true. i think that its really cool that the monkey had the same impulses as the human. it shows us that we have the same feelings and things like that that connect us together. i like the idea that empathy can be shared through everything and everyone on Earth
The video has write an interesting concept on empathy and how it seems that all species can have somewhat of the same feelings. The video makes it obvious that humans and animals are both alike and take feelings for granted. It seems that humans focus too much on death as apposed to life.
This video does a good job answering questions that most don't think about. It made me realize how much bigger empathy is than just feeling bad for someone. I didn't know that empathy could be almost mentally felt. Like the spider example. That example gave me an answer of why we feel creeped out when a spider is on someone else. This video made me believe that it is possible to feel empathy for people around the world.
