Cheating

Some people say that it is in the nature of all animals (including man kind) to stray from their relationships when they feel their needs are no longer being met. They say it is a part of natural selection. For this post answer these two questions: Do animals in nature leave mates to look for others in the situation? and Are humans different from other animals when it comes to this behavior?

  1. No i dont think humans behavior is different. All animals cheat. maybe for different reasons but they do. If every one acted like those one animals who always took care of the child just in case it was theirs i think this would be a more loving world:)

  2. I don't think humans behavior is different. All animals are similar but we just don't usually think about it that way. We are just like all animals that are wild. I think everyone goes through natural seletion, including man kind.

  3. No i dont think human behavior is different. Really we're all animals so we kind of naturally tend to do that. Animals just want to have reproduce and leave after they get what they want and humans usually do that too.

  4. i think that animals do leave their mates if their needs are not being met but in a way they do not. mankind most of the time finds a mate and sticks with that one until they die so ya humans differ from other animals.

  5. I believe that mates do leave each other when they have no further use of each other in mating. Yes humans are different from other animals because we have the will to love somebody for a very long time, but I think humans do perform this behavior because you see it every day in are world, an example is divorce.

  6. I think that animals and humans leave their mates when their needs arent being met. Humans seem to have a harder time with it though after reproducing. Theyre the same because although it may be harder, humans still tend to care about their own well being rather than their family.

  7. Animals' chief goal in life is to survive and reproduce, if they are not meeting those needs then they will move on to the next thing, whether it be new land or new mates. Humans are essentially the same way, especially now that it is not taboo to have a failed marriage. If their needs are not met they too will move on. Humans are more likely to cheat rather than move on because they may have an obligation to someone so they won't leave them entirely, they will just stray.

  8. I think that an animal will leave it's mate if it's needs are not being met because it's not getting anything out of the relationship. Humans in a way are the same but i think we have stronger more developed conscience than other animals so if you do cheat you will likely tell your mate and maybe try to work things out, but really humans are the same.

I don't think that human behavior is much different. Animals will find a partner they can reproduce with and will leave if their needs aren't being met or will go else where.
Humans may have different reasons but is pretty much the same.

I think in nature they do this all the time. Bears mate with all different females because they have to keep there generation going.

As for humans i don't think were much different. We try not to be, but all the time we hear of divorce, cheating, and just no love. Look at the kings England has had. One king killed his wives because he wasn't getting a boy like he needed.

  11. Yeah. Animals probably leave their mate in search of a new one if they feel they are no longer needed in the relationship all the time in numerous species.

Humans aren't different at all. I believe it's more common in humans than any other species. If one partner gets bored or feels their needs and priorities aren't met, they'll search for a new one.

  12. I think in some situations humans do the same as animals and leave relationships when they feel there needs re not being met. In some cases i think relationships stay together because of children and the fact that it is almost human tradition to have one partner for life, I also think people stay in relationships because it is socially wrong to "cheat" and is frowned upon.

It depends on the animal some animals stay with there mates and will not ever get another one even if their mate dies
Humans are a lot like animals some will stay with there mates and some will stray when they feel that there needs are not satisfied offspring can also play a big part in if humans stay together because they want the best for their children.

in some situations people do stray from their relationships but i don't think its cause their needs are not being met i think its because they want more even when they have enough to get by. i think humans are met to be monogamous but we have the choice to be promiscuous.

  15. Yes, animals in nature stray from their partners when their needs aren't being met because their main goal in life is to survive, and make sure that their genes are passed on. For this reason most animals are not monogamous. Animals don't seek love, they seek a means to pass on their genetic make up. Humans are different from most other animals in that they try to remain monogamous because it is the societal norm. But in most cases humans end up being promiscuous and stray from their mates as well, because that's just nature taking over. Not that it's impossible to remain with one mate, but it just goes against animal nature.

  16. Yes, i think animals stray from their partners when they no longer feel that their needs are being met because they want the best for themselves and their offspring. No, i don't think humans differ much from animals in this situation because humans cheat all the time and they divorce/ break up when they are no longer happy with their current spouse or significant other.

  18. I think our nature tells us to cheat, There's always thoughts of straying, with animals they stay until they feel their no longer needed, same with humans, if we start to feel we are no longer wanted or needed then most will cheat or get a divorce. Animals and humans both want what they feel would make them more happy and have a better chance for survival of their species.

  19. Yes i think it is in nature for an animal to cheat.Well because if there needs aren't being met they'll find another mate. Its the same with humans. We are not that much different from animals. So if we feel that way we'll do the same thing as an animal.

  20. Cheating is not justified by biological nature. However, when cheating does occur usually, but not always, it is at the fault of both partners. if a partner does not do their part to keep a mate, their mate will stray and fulfill their needs. Animals in nature do stray from relationships that don't work for them from time to time. this is no different in humans because we are animals.

  21. It is in animals blood to cheat. Yes life time partners are possible to have but in most situations promcuisty and cheating occurs. For example, papa bear leaves momma bear when he finds another lady bear! ;) papa bear feels like there's no need to stay with momma bear when she has a baby bear.
Human are the same in this situation. Not everyone cheats but most do. Some relationships last and some ends in a bad way, cheating. Some cheat because they are mad at their boyfriend/girlfriend, and some cheat because they are sick of their partner and simply just want out.

  22. I don't think that animals leave to find others in the situation because most animals aren't monogamous they usually use the other to produce offspring. they aren't looking for someone to stay with for most of their lives just someone to pass their genes with. i think that most humans aren't diffrent than animlas in this respect because they do want to just get out of a monogamous relationship or their needs aren't being met but of course most of the time its harder if their is children involved with humans than with animals

Yes, animals do leave each other to find more suitable mates. This behavior is a key part of natural selection. It helps by mixing the gene pool even further.
Humans are no different than other mammals. We may be one of the smartest, but we are still animals. Human behavior is hard-wired to enhance the human's life and progeny. However, children factor into this equation much differently and therefore are a good reason for the human animal to stay with one mate even if their needs are not being met completely by there standards.

  24. Animals may leave to find other mates, but this is just a part of nature, and it's in their blood.

I don't think humans are much different from Animals when it comes to cheating, because as humans we want/need to find a suitable mate for us. But yeah, some humans cheat just for because their mad or whatever.

  25. I think that animals actually do leave mates when their needs are not met. They need to have their needs met, so they cheat to fulfill them. And no, I do not believe humans are any different. They do the same exact things when their needs aren't met.

  26. I think that animals definitely cheat on their mates and leave them if their needs are not being met. They try to find more suitable mates that match better and so do human beings. They are not different from animals at all.

  27. Animals in the wild leave their mates if their needs are not being met. I believe it is the same thing with humans. People stray from their relationships everyday for many different reasons. We are all animals and we have very similar characteristics.

    ReplyDelete
  28. yes I think that animals leave their mates to pursue others when their needs are not being met because they need something that their current mate can't give them, and that people also do the same, i think that as long as cheating is kept in secret, and doesn't hurt the children, it's okay. And yes, humans do cheat with exceptions.

I think that animals sometimes do leave the one they are with to find another person to mate with. The thing is, humans are very different, we have a thing called love and they taught us that when you love you should never leave the one you are with, because you should only love one person and give your all to that person. Then sometimes we do act like wild animals, leaving the ones we are with to be with someone else. I don't really know what to say about cheating. I know that it is looked down on, and it's not the right thing in the human world so we fight the temptation to do it.

  35. In nature i believe animals do this. They could do this because mabey their mate isn't what they expected it to be. I don't think humans are any different when it comes to this, it actually happens way more often then what it should.

  36. i think that humans have the ability to not cheat even though there needs are not being meet. but i think that you can only do that if you truly love someone because other wise you should and just go find someone else that does meet your needs. animals do, do this because i don't think that they love each other like humans. so of corse animals do cheat because half of the reason they live is just to have a baby...

Humans are just the same, when we don't feel our needs are met we go looking for someone who can meet them, possibly someone in the same situation. Hence why so many people cheat and so many marriages end in divorce. However, I believe that as humans we have the capability and therefore responsibility to work things out otherwise instead of cheating. Animals don't have the capability of doing this but we do, so we should use it by talking to our partner and working out issues before searching elsewhere.

  39. People, we are not animals and we are different from animals! How could anyone demean themselves in such a way? This disgusts me!

  40. Humans are animals, so naturally we possess similar traits. Although it may be natural to stray from a mate when our needs aren't met, we should develope past this primal instinct when we eventually commit to someone. Our minds have become more intricate and we are able to problem solve and have deeper relationsips than just reproducing, so we should treat our partner as more than a baby maker. Animals in the animal kingdom are looking for fitness and fertility, whereas humans now look at the bigger picture with personality. Now we cheat for personal fulfilment instead of creating more offspring, so the purpose is defeated.

  41. No I think humans act the same when it comes to cheating. Sometimes cheating occurs when one person of the pair feels they are not loved. For animals its if the cub could be taken care of without the father.

  42. I think most humans react the same to cheating, one person cheats because they feel the other is not enough or exactly what they are looking for compared to another. Once one has cheated there is no trust and typically they "break-up". Then the female adjusts to taking care of her young on her own.-Emily

Most humans do not cheat, but some humans will cheat on their signifigant other if they do not feel happy with what they have... Humans have a much higher intelect than all other animals so I would not put them in the same category.

  45. Yes i think that animals leave their mate for another mate that will satisfy their needs better than the previous mate.
I don't think it is the same situation with humans. If the needs of one person are not being met he should break up with the other person not cheat on them.

  46. Animals do leave their parners for other mates because it is their perpose in life to reproduse. So if the family no longer needs help it will leave and mate again.

Humans have the ability to overcome this behavior. The question is not if they can or can't but rather if they actually wan't to enough to try.
